Ducks sign D Allen for 3 years
Jul 2, 2012 - 2:30 AM Anaheim, CA (Sports Network) - The Anaheim Ducks signed defenseman Bryan Allen to a three-year contract on Sunday.Allen, 31, registered one goal and 14 points while playing in all 82 regular- season games with the Carolina Hurricanes last season.
The fourth overall pick in the 1998 NHL Entry Draft, Allen has scored 29 goals and collected 89 assists in 601 career games with Vancouver, Florida and Carolina.
The Ducks also signed forward Brad Staubitz to a two-year contract. Staubitz has recorded nine goals, 10 assists and 480 penalty minutes in 215 career games with San Jose, Minnesota and Montreal.
