Kings sign first-round pick Pearson
Aug 3, 2012 - 11:45 PM Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) - The Los Angeles Kings signed first-round draft pick Tanner Pearson to a three-year entry level contract on Friday.The final pick of the first round of this year's draft, Penner played the last two season with the Barrie Colts of the Ontario Hockey League. He totaled 37 goals and 54 assists over 60 games last season.
The 19-year-old Kitchener, Ontario native posted 15 goals and 27 assists during the 2010-11 season with Barrie and he helped Canada capture a Bronze Medal at the 2012 World Junior Championship.
