Leafs sign D Robidas
Jul 1, 2014 - 9:57 PM Toronto, ON (SportsNetwork.com) - The Toronto Maple Leafs signed defenseman Stephane Robidas to a three-year contract on Tuesday.Robidas, 37, split last season between Dallas and Anaheim and posted five goals and five assists in 38 games.
He missed a large portion of the season with a broken leg and while recovering, he was dealt to Anaheim by Dallas. He had been Dallas' longest- tenured player at the time of the deal, having been with the club since the 2005-06 campaign.
Over 14 seasons in the NHL, including stints with Montreal and Chicago, he has notched 56 goals and 195 assists in 885 games.
Also on Tuesday, the team signed forward Leo Komarov to a four-year contract. He played for Dynamo Moscow of the KHL last season and had 12 goals and 22 assists in 52 games.
