Oilers ink D Petry to one-year deal
Jul 7, 2014 - 5:40 PM Edmonton, AB (SportsNetwork.com) - The Edmonton Oilers have agreed to terms with defenseman Jeff Petry on a one-year contract.The terms of the contract were not released.
The 26-year-old led the Oilers in blocked shots with 132 and hits with 181 in 80 games last season. He also tallied 17 points with seven goals and 10 assists.
Petry, a native of Ann Arbor, Michigan, has totaled 59 points with 13 goals and 46 assists in 236 career games, all with Edmonton.
The blueliner was originally selected by Edmonton in the second round, 45th overall, in the 2006 NHL Draft.
