Panthers agree to terms with Hayes
Jul 29, 2014 - 5:22 PM Sunrise, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - The Florida Panthers have agreed to terms with forward Jimmy Hayes on a one-year contract.Financial terms were not disclosed.
Hayes was acquired by the Panthers last November from Chicago and notched 11 goals with seven assists for 18 points in 53 games with Florida.
"We are pleased to have reached an agreement with Jimmy," said Panthers general manager Dale Tallon in a statement Tuesday. "We look forward to his continued contributions to our team both on and off the ice."
The 24-year-old Massachusetts native has 17 goals and 14 assists for 31 points in 96 NHL games over parts of three seasons with the Panthers and Blackhawks.
