Lehner, Senators reach deal

Jul 31, 2014 - 1:59 PM Ottawa, ON (SportsNetwork.com) - The Ottawa Senators and restricted free agent goaltender Robin Lehner agreed to terms Thursday on a three-year, $6.675 million contract.

Lehner, 23, appeared in a career-high 36 games last season, posting a 12-15-6 record with a 3.06 goals-against average and .913 save percentage.

Selected by Ottawa in the second round of the 2009 draft, the Swede is 21-24-10 with a 2.82 GAA and .918 save percentage in 61 career games.

Lehner took home MVP honors after backstopping the Senators' American Hockey League affiliate in Binghamton to the 2011 Calder Cup title.
