Rangers bring in veteran Ryan Malone

Sep 11, 2014 - 6:26 PM New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - The New York Rangers have agreed to terms with free-agent forward Ryan Malone, the team announced Thursday.

Malone, 34, is entering his 11th NHL season, having played the last six with the Tampa Bay Lightning.

He posted five goals and 10 assists in 57 games last season and has 179 goals and 191 assists for 370 points in 641 career games for Pittsburgh and Tampa Bay.

Malone won a silver medal skating for the United States at the 2010 Vancouver Olympics, finishing third on the team in goals (three) and points (five).
