Ducks F Heatley dealing with groin issue
Sep 29, 2014 - 7:23 PM Anaheim, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Anaheim Ducks announced on Monday that veteran winger Dany Heatley will miss at least one week with a groin injury.Heatley's setback is the latest in a spate of lower-body issues to strike multiple teams during training camp and the exhibition schedule.
The Ducks inked the former 50-goal scorer and unrestricted free agent to a one-year contract on July 9.
Under diminishing ice time, Heatley totaled 12 goals and 16 assists over 76 regular-season games for the Minnesota Wild last season, adding one goal and five assists in 11 postseason appearances. His minus-18 rating was the lowest of his career since a minus-19 during his rookie season with the Thrashers.
