Injured Flyers Coburn, MacDonald out 4 weeks

Oct 24, 2014 - 5:54 PM Philadelphia, PA (SportsNetwork.com) - Philadelphia Flyers defensemen Braydon Coburn and Andrew MacDonald will miss approximately four weeks with lower-body injuries, the team said Friday.

Coburn has been out since suffering an injury in the season opener against Boston on Oct. 8, but was skating with the team for a full week before Friday's announcement by general manager Ron Hextall.

MacDonald has played in all seven games so far, collecting one goal and two assists while averaging almost 23 minutes of ice time, second on the team.

Hextall said forward Zac Rinaldo is day-to-day with an upper-body injury he suffered Wednesday against Pittsburgh.

Meanwhile, forward Vincent Lecavalier skated for 15-20 minutes Friday morning, the first time he's been on the ice since suffering a lower-body injury in a game against Montreal on Oct. 11.
