Sharks place Stalock on IR
Nov 12, 2014 - 6:26 PM San Jose, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - The San Jose Sharks have placed goaltender Alex Stalock on injured reserve.Stalock was set to make the start for Tuesday's game against Florida, but was scratched for undisclosed reasons before the contest in place of regular netminder Antti Niemi. The Sharks went on to a 4-1 loss.
In five games this season, Stalock is 2-2-1 with a 2.38 goals-against average and a .925 save percentage.
The Sharks recalled goaltender Troy Grosenick from their American Hockey League affiliate in Worcester. He is 7-2-1 with a 2.73 GAA in 10 games this season, leading the AHL in victories.
