Hansen, Tatar, Been earn NHL weekly honors
Nov 24, 2014 - 6:10 PM New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Vancouver Canucks right wing Jannik Hansen, Detroit Red Wings left wing Tomas Tatar and Dallas Stars left wing Jamie Benn have been selected as the NHL's top players for last week.Hansen was named the First Star after leading the NHL with five goals last week. He has scored in three straight games and capped the week with his first career hat trick in Sunday's outing against Chicago.
Tatar netted four goals to claim the Second Star, twice scoring the winning goal to help the Red Wings to a pair of victories in three games. He also has a three-game goal streak and stretched his point streak to five straight.
Benn was honored as the Third Star. He led the league with six points, notching three goals and three assists in three games, finishing his week with two goals and an assist in Saturday's 5-4 win over Los Angeles.
