Blues get Jokinen from Leafs

Mar 2, 2015 - 9:08 PM St. Louis, MO (SportsNetwork.com) - Veteran forward Olli Jokinen was dealt for the second time this season, moving from the Toronto Maple Leafs to the St. Louis Blues before Monday's trade deadline.

The Blues sent a conditional sixth-round draft pick in 2016 and forward Joakim Lindstrom to land Jokinen.

Jokinen began this season in Nashville before getting traded to Toronto on Feb. 15 in the deal that sent Cody Franson and Mike Santorelli to the Predators. The 36-year-old played only six games with the Maple Leafs and notched one assist in that span.

The Finnish centerman has compiled three goals and four assists in 54 total games with Nashville and Toronto in 2014-15.

Jokinen posted 18 goals and 43 points in 82 games for Winnipeg last season. He has 747 points (320 goals, 427 assists) over 1,223 career games.

Lindstrom, 31, had three goals and three assists in 34 games for the Blues this season. He also has played for Arizona, Colorado and Columbus and has 18 goals and 21 helpers over 131 career games.
