Ducks pick up Holzer from Maple Leafs
Mar 2, 2015 - 10:51 PM Anaheim, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Anaheim Ducks acquired defenseman Korbinian Holzer from the Toronto Maple Leafs for the expiring contract of defenseman Eric Brewer and a 2016 fifth-round draft pick on Monday.The 27-year-old Holzer has tallied six assists over 34 games for Toronto this season and has recorded two goals and nine points in 58 career games with the club.
Brewer, 35, had a goal and an assist in nine games for the Ducks this season after arriving in a trade from the Tampa Bay Lightning on Nov. 28. The fifth overall selection of the 1997 draft has posted 266 career points and 780 penalty minutes in 991 career games.
