Islanders clinch playoff spot
Apr 10, 2015 - 2:28 AM (SportsNetwork.com) - Due to Boston's loss to Florida on Thursday, the New York Islanders clinched a playoff spot.The Islanders had Thursday off, but were able to grab a playoff berth after the Panthers downed the Bruins, 4-2.
It's just the third time in the past 10 seasons that the Islanders will skate in the postseason, and the team currently sits in third place in the Metropolitan Division.
No one has shouted yet.
