Bruins assign RW Bochenski to Providence for conditioning

Oct 24, 2007 - 12:11 AM BOSTON (Ticker) -- Brandon Bochenski will get the chance to shake off the rust, as the right wing was assigned by the Boston Bruins to Providence of the American Hockey League for a two-game conditioning stint.

The 25-year-old Bochenski has yet to play for the Bruins this season after recording 11 goals and 11 assists in 31 contests in 2006-07 following his acquisition from the Chicago Blackhawks in February. He is expected to rejoin Boston after playing for Providence on Wednesday against Hartford and Saturday vs. Lowell.

A seventh-round pick by Ottawa in 2001, Bochenski has registered 21 goals and 20 assists in 81 career games with the Senators, Blackhawks and Bruins.
