New Jersey (8-10-2) at Pittsburgh (8-10-2) 7:30 pm EST
PITTSBURGH (Ticker) - As good as Sidney Crosby is, winning hockey games is something he can't do alone.
Crosby will hope to continue his impressive 19-game point streak Wednesday night when the Pittsburgh Penguins host the New Jersey Devils in a battle of Atlantic Division rivals.
Crosby's production, however, has not translated into wins as the Penguins have lost seven of their previous nine games.
The 20-year-old captain, who has 11 goals and a team-leading 30 points on the season, has not been kept off the scoresheet since the season opener.
In order for the streak to continue, Crosby will have to find a way for his team to best three-time Vezina Trophy recipient Martin Brodeur, who became the second goalie to reach the 500-win plateau Saturday in a 6-2 triumph over the Philadelphia Flyers.
Despite reaching the milestone, Brodeur is on pace for the worst season of his career.
After posting a .653 winning percentage through his first 13 season, the Devils netminder is just 6-10-1 with a 2.70 goals-against average and .894 save percentage.
Both his GAA and save percentage would be his worst since his rookie season in 1991-92, however the veteran has been known to play his best hockey in the second half of season.
