Detroit (21-6-2) at Nashville (14-11-2) 8:00 pm EST
NASHVILLE, Tennessee (Ticker) - The Detroit Red Wings are the hottest team in the NHL, thanks mostly to their high-powered attack.
The Red Wings will take their offensive show on the road when they visit the Nashville Predators on Monday in a battle of Central Division foes.
Detroit has won six games in a row and is averaging 4.3 goals per game. Henrik Zetterberg, who ranks second in the NHL with 41 points, has five goals during the streak, including a hat trick in Friday's 5-0 thrashing of the Minnesota Wild.
Pavel Datsyuk, who had just five goals through the first 23 games of the season, has seven tallies in the past six contests.
The Red Wings earned a 5-2 victory over the Carolina Hurricanes on Sunday, turning a close game into a blowout with three unanswered goals in the last 26 minutes.
The Predators had the sale of their team finalized last Friday and are now assured of staying in Nashville for the extended future. The team responded to the news by snapping a two-game losing streak with a 4-2 win over Anaheim on Saturday.
Nashville has split two games with the Red Wings this season, falling 3-2 in a shootout on November 7 at Detroit and earning a 3-2 win here on November 22.
