Fire, United play to stalemate at Toyota Park

United rallied from a two-goal deficit to come away with a point in a 3-3 draw with the Chicago Fire at Toyota Park.Chicago had the better of the play for most of the opening half and found the back of the net after 16 minutes when Quincy Amarikwa fired home off an assist from rookie Harrison Shipp.
The hosts then doubled their lead in the 32nd minute after Jeff Larentowicz buried a penalty kick.
But United got back into the match in the 39th minute after Silva fired home a penalty kick to send the sides into the break at 2-1 for Chicago.
United then seized control as the second half wore on. Silva bagged his second of the day in the 54th minute to equalize before defender Bobby Boswell gave the visitors the lead in the 68th minute.
It appeared that United was going to walk away with all three points, but Chicago pulled back another equalizer with 12 minutes to play when Matt Watson smashed home his second goal of the season as the clubs were forced to share the spoils.
The result sees East-leading United move three points clear of Sporting Kansas City with 48 points, while Chicago remains in ninth in the East with 31 points after its 16th draw of the season.
