      I was just watching the posts... I wonder if any of you are soccer fans. Really. I love Man U, I've loved them since I learned about soccer, and could play games like FIFA94 on sega. Back then Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs were young men, and I was a child. We have grown up together.

      The point is, I know that soccer is difficult to understand. I love soccer and I dont like it, but to say it is dumb is just ignorance. Its the rules.

      When competition rules require there to be a winning team after a match or home-and-away tie, only the following procedures, which have been approved by the International F.A. Board, are permitted

      * Away goals rule;

      * Extra time;

      * Kicks from the penalty mark.
      http://www.fifa.com/worldfootball/lawsofthegame.html

      Since this was not a home-away playoff, the game had to be determined in this fashion. I'm sorry John Terry.

      And for one, you are comparing apples and oranges with football and futbol. Yes, the super bowl would never be done that way, but in football you don't play constantly with little or no time for water breaks, let alone time to sit. and recoup before action. In soccer you are always moving, look at Rio when he went down, he couldn't just sit it out for a play!! Any of those guys, ALL of those guys! If they played till their legs fell off they would get injured...

      Oh and the mention of worldwide interest, no you are upset because now USA has interest and they cant seem to have the game who they like it. Newsflash: Its the WORLDS game.

      So thats all i have to say, love soccer, live soccer. Don't try to change soccer. But atleast you all were watching.

      Hey, do you know what the most watched event in 2006 was? Super bowl? Olympics? NOPE
      World Cup Final France v Italy

      This game was unbelievable!!! Van Der Sar Baby!!!!!

      Nuf Said.

      Sorry John Terry, guess you'll have to try again!
      Ronaldo is picked up by his teammates, especially the former champion, Edwin Van Der Sar

      Drogba is complete trash. Get that guy off the pitch. I never want to see him play again. Slapping Vidic was class-LESS.

      AND THE REDS GO MARCHING ON ON ON!!!!!!!

      I will be very disappointed if this is settled via PKs. Have 'em play 'till their legs fall off if you have to.

      You wouldn't settle an overtime Super Bowl by resorting to PKs. This is the same thing, with as much global interest — probably more. PKs cheapen the result.

      Are you kidding me grant? There will be a ton of traveling supporters, the Tix act as your visa, so I would not be surprised if that stadium is mostly English. But yes, Abromovich's club will probably have a lot of support. The guy is a hero in his country, he was even made governor of an area after donating billions.

      Check this out:

      M/Y Eclipse is a 482,6 feet / 147 m long and 70.5 feet wide luxury yacht under construction by Blohm & Voss in Hamburg, Germany. The yacht is expected to be delivered to Roman Abramovich in 2008 and is billed to be the world's largest private yacht (as the world's largest megayacht, M/Y Dubai is not private) with a price tag over $300,000,000.

      This yacht has a missle-detection system, and a 12-person sub that DOCKS under the ship

      wow

      I'm assuming that for all intents and purposes, Chelsea is going to get whatever Muscovite support is there due to the nationality of its owner.

      1st time in history, an all English Final. For those of you who still believe the Premiership not to be the best league in the world, do we need any more examples? How about 3 of the last 4 teams, English? Hmmm... I guess that doesn't matter because Ronaldhino plays in Spain. Barcelona isn't as sweet for Henry... maybe Ronaldhino goes to England...

      But back to the Final, led by the soon-to-be player of the year, Christiano Ronaldo, Manchester United will win the cup, 30 years after Munich, and 20 years after their first European win.

      And the Reds go Marching ON ON ON!!!!
