FOXBOROUGH, Massachussets(AP) -- Taylor Twellman became the fifth player in MLS history with 100 career goals when he scored a pair in the second half to lead the New England Revolution to a 4-0 victory over the New York Red Bulls on Sunday.
Twellman, playing his second match of the season after being sidelined with a neck injury, went on as a substitute to start the second half and didn't take long to reach the milestone.
He scored his first goal of the year in the 57th minute with a header off a cross from Sharlie Joseph to give New England a 3-0 lead.
Seven minutes later, Twellman shot under Red Bulls goalkeeper Jon Conway.
New England entered the match having scored a league-low 10 goals but scored four times in a 17-minute span against the Red Bulls.
New York's winless streak on the road reached 19 matches.
Dallas 2, San Jose 2
At Frisco, Texas, Kenny Cooper scored in the 87th minute to help FC Dallas salvage a 2-2 draw at home against the San Jose Earthquakes.
Arturo Alvarez had given last-place San Jose a 2-1 lead in the 82nd minute after he beat defender Marcelo Saragosa and sent a curling left-foot shot into the top right corner of the net.
Dallas scored the equalizer 5 minutes later when Brek Shea passed to Cooper, who drove it in from six yards.
Dallas coach Schellas Hyndman missed the match while serving a one-game suspension. Hyndman was ejected for "irresponsible behavior" in the 81st minute of the previous match against Chicago when he shout at fans after he was hit by a bottle thrown from the stands.
