Catania turns to Maran
Jun 11, 2012 - 3:52 PM Catania, Italy (Sports Network) - Catania announced on Monday that the club has hired Rolando Maran to be its coach for the 2012-13 season.Vincenzo Montella left his post at Catania after only one season in charge, in which he guided the team to 11th place in Serie A.
But Montella completed a move to Fiorentina on Monday, paving the way for Maran to take charge of his first top-flight team.
The 49-year-old lacks experience at the highest level but is coming off a season in which he led Serie B side Varese to the playoff final.
