Hill signs new QPR deal
Jun 20, 2012 - 3:40 PM London, England (Sports Network) - QPR defender Clint Hill signed a new one- year contract with the club on Wednesday that keeps him at Loftus Road through the end of next season. The 33-year-old's contract with the team was set to expire this summer, but after being named QPR's Player of the Year by the team's supporters, he will return for another season with the option of a further year.
"I'm absolutely buzzing. As soon as I found out that Mark Hughes wanted to keep me for at least another year, staying here was the only thing on my mind," Hill told QPR's website.
"It was a straightforward decision to stay. I love playing here and I love playing at Loftus Road. It's a great ground."
Hill joined QPR as a free agent in 2010 having spent time at Crystal Palace, Stoke City and Tranmere Rovers.
He appeared in 21 league matches for QPR last term, seeing action in the top flight for the first time in his career.
