Dortmund acquires Schieber from Stuttgart
Jun 21, 2012 - 3:59 PM Dortmund, Germany (Sports Network) - Bundesliga champions Borussia Dortmund agreed to terms with Stuttgart on Thursday to sign striker Julian Schieber.The 23-year-old Schieber will join the two-time defending league champions on a four-year contract, pending a physical.
The former Germany Under-21 international joined Stuttgart in 2008, and spent the 2010-11 season on loan with Nurnberg.
"We are very pleased to have picked up a young German player that fits so well into our side and has great potential," Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc said.
Schieber scored 10 goals in 60 matches with Stuttgart and Nurnberg, including two for Stuttgart in a 4-4 draw against Dortmund last season.
