Newcastle's Pardew charged by FA
Aug 20, 2012 - 5:16 PM London, England (Sports Network) - Newcastle manager Alan Pardew has been charged with misconduct by the English Football Association after he pushed a match official in his team's 2-1 win over Tottenham on Saturday.Pardew was sent to the stands for shoving assistant referee Stuart Burt after a dispute over a throw-in call.
The Newcastle boss apologized after the match, but he now faces a touchline ban and/or a fine, and has until Thursday to respond to the charge.
