New York goalie Meara likely to miss rest of season
Aug 23, 2012 - 7:39 PM Harrison, NJ (Sports Network) - Red Bull New York rookie goalkeeper Ryan Meara underwent arthroscopic hip surgery Thursday and will likely miss the remainder of the MLS season.Meara, 21, had a 9-5-4 record in 18 games for New York this season with a 1.50 goal against average. He set a rookie record earlier this season, going 321 minutes without allowing a goal. He last played on July 8.
He was selected in the second round, 31st overall, in the 2012 MLS SuperDraft.
