Hamburg coach Bruno Labbadia hopes his side has turned the
corner after it won for the first time in eight Bundesliga
matches last weekend. A 4-0 road victory took Hamburg back into
contention at the top of the table ahead of this weekend's most
important fixture of the season, at least as far as the fans are
concerned, against northern Germany rivals Werder Bremen. "This
is a great feeling to have won again after such a long time," he
said. "We deserved it. It was about time too, otherwise we would
have had problems." Hamburg was on Thursday looking to seal
group victory in the UEFA Europa League at Hapoel Tel Aviv, but
the Bremen game was causing a bit of a distraction ahead of that
game. "We have Werder in the back of our minds," admitted
defender Marcell Jansen.
