Rain washes away play in Eastbourne
Jun 21, 2012 - 4:05 PM Eastbourne, England (Sports Network) - Rain forced the postponement of quarterfinal play Thursday at the Aegon International, a final Wimbledon tuneup event.Thursday's schedule featured matches for Americans Andy Roddick and Ryan Harrison and reigning champion Andreas Seppi, but all three players will now play their quarterfinals on Friday. The semifinals will also be part of the Day-5 schedule on the grass courts at Devonshire Park.
The third-seeded Seppi will face seventh-seeded quality German Philipp Kohlschreiber, while a sixth-seeded Roddick will encounter Italian Fabio Fognini, and the 20-year-old Harrison will take on Uzbekistan's Denis Istomin.
The three-time Wimbledon runner-up Roddick is still seeking his first title of 2012.
The Italian Seppi upset Serb Janko Tipsarevic in last year's finale here.
The 2012 Eastbourne titlist will claim $92,000.
