Fever get hot, wallop Atlanta 106-77
Aug 8, 2015 - 1:54 AM INDIANAPOLIS (AP) Marissa Coleman scored 19 points to lead five Indiana players in double figures as the Fever routed the Atlanta Dream 106-77 on Friday night.Tamika Catchings added 18 points, Shenise Johnson 15, Lynetta Kizer 11 and Briann January 10 for the Fever (12-9), who broke away from Atlanta (7-14) early in the second quarter. It was Indiana's fourth win in five games.
Indiana set team records for free throws made in a game (40) and attempted (44). And also scored a team record 59 points in the second half.
Atlanta, which is in last place in the East, was hurt by turnovers. The Dream committed 26 of them, including seven by Shoni Schimmel.
Angel McCoughtry scored 23 points to lead Atlanta, which has lost its last six games.
The Dream shot nearly 58 percent in the opening quarter, but finished 24 of 61 (39.3 percent).
