Bonner's late touchdown pass lifts Crush over Rattlers
Mar 17, 2007 - 5:07 AM DENVER (Ticker) -- Robert Thomas scored on a one-yard touchdown with 45 seconds left in the game as the Colorado Crush posted a 56-54 victory over the Arizona Rattlers.Thomas' touchdown run capped a 12-play, 47-yard drive, giving the Crush a 56-47 lead.
Arizona's Sherdrick Bonner attempted to rally his team, completing a three-yard scoring strike to Randy Gatewood with 20 seconds left. However, Thomas and the Crush ran out the clock for the victory.
John Dutton completed 25-of-36 passes for 293 yards and six touchdowns for Colorado (2-1) while Damian Harrell caught 10 passes for 154 yards and four touchdowns.
Harrell also had 14 return yards, finishing with 168 total yards. Willie Quinnie caught six passes for 67 yards and a pair of scores for the Crush.
Bonner completed 22-of-37 attempts for 266 yards and six scores and Gatewood had 10 catches for 101 yards and two touchdowns for the Rattlers (0-3).
