GWS defender Kennedy signs new AFL deal
Jun 10, 2017 - 8:38 AM Greater Western Sydney have locked away another young talent, with Adam Kennedy signing a three-year AFL contract extension.One of the Giants' foundation team members, Kennedy had been in fine touch this season before tearing his anterior cruciate ligament during the round seven loss to St Kilda.
The 24-year-old will miss the rest of the season after undergoing a knee reconstruction but has extended his stay with the Giants until the end of the 2020 season.
"A lot of the guys I'm really close to have extended their contracts lately and there was no hesitation from my end," Kennedy said.
"The club has always been great to me, but especially since my injury and this is where I see my future."
Top GWS draft picks Tim Taranto, Will Setterfield and Harry Perryman all signed new deals this week, and the Giants also recently locked away stars Dylan Shiel and Jonathon Patton.
