Pattinson stars again for Nottinghamshire
Jun 26, 2017 - 10:57 PM Australian paceman James Pattinson has continued his strong pre-Ashes form with three top-order wickets for Nottinghamshire against Kent in England's County Championship.Pattinson removed South African Sean Dickson and Englishmen Joe Denly and Sam Northeast for ducks as Nottinghamshire dismissed Kent for 180 inside two sessions on day one at Trent Bridge.
Pattinson finished with 3-30 on Monday, claiming his wickets in the space of eight deliveries to leave the visitors 3-6 early.
The Victorian has taken 31 wickets from five matches this county season at an average of 10.45.
Nottingham, the county competition's unbeaten division two leader, were 3-135 in reply at stumps on Monday.
Pattinson's performance against Kent follows an eight-wicket match haul against Leicestershire last week.
The 27-year-old will join Australia in August for the two-Test tour of Bangladesh.
He is set to play his first match since February 2016 after spearhead Mitchell Starc was not selected for the tour due to injury.
