Saudis get a draw in Seoul, 1 win from World Cup

Jun 10, 2009 - 1:32 PM SEOUL, South Korea(AP) -- Saudi Arabia set up a showdown in qualifying for the 2010 World Cup with a 0-0 tie at South Korea on Wednesday.

The result moved the Saudis even with North Korea for second place in Group B. Saudi Arabia will host North Korea next Wednesday, with automatic World Cup qualification on the line.

A tie will be enough for North Korea to advance.

The third-place team in the group will go to a playoff with the third-place team in Group A for the right to play Oceania champion New Zealand for a spot at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
