Sweden takes bronze with 11-4 victory

Jan 6, 2010 - 1:00 AM SASKATOON, Saskatchewan(AP) -- Andre Petersson had a hat trick and Jakob Silfverberg and Daniel Brodin each added two goals and Sweden used a big first period to rout Switzerland 11-4 in the bronze medal game at the world junior championship on Tuesday.

Dennis Rasmussen, Anton Lander, Mattias Tedenby and David Rundblad also scored for Sweden, which lost in last year's final to Canada.

Michael Loichat, Dominik Schlumpf, Jeffrey Fuglister and Nino Niederreiter scored for Switzerland, which was looking for its first medal at the tournament since 1998.

The Swedes led 5-0 after the first period and 7-0 early in the second.
