Feng leads LPGA in Michigan, Lee sixth

May 27, 2017 - 11:12 PM Minjee Lee is four shots off the lead going into the final round of the LPGA Volvik Championship in Michigan.

The Australian produced her worst score of the tournament in the third round - a one-under 71 - to be in a tie for sixth and trailing Chinese leader Shanshan Feng, who has a one-stroke advantage over American Lizette Salas.

Lee, who cost herself a top-10 finish last week when she failed to sign her scorecard, started the day two shots off the lead after rounds of 68 and 66.

Feng powered her way to a six-under 66 to sit at 15 under for the tournament while Salas had a 67 to claim outright second, one shot ahead of Suzann Pettersen (69) on Saturday.

Second-round leader Sung Hyun Park (72) is tied for fourth with Jeong Eun Lee (68) at 12 under.

Feng has six career victories, the most recent at last year's TOTO Japan Classic.

She's finished in the top 10 three times this season, including the past two events.

Feng birdied the last two holes Saturday at Travis Pointe Country Club.

She took over sole possession of the lead when Salas bogeyed No.18 moments later.
