Cuff Me wins Big A's Silent Turn Stakes

Dec 4, 2009 - 8:06 PM NEW YORK(AP) -- The undefeated Cuff Me has rolled to her third win with a 2-length victory over Touching Beauty in the $64,950 Silent Turn Stakes for 2-year-old fillies at Aqueduct.

Cuff Me shook off early pressure from Simply Spiteful on Friday to pull away in midstretch and cover the six furlongs in 1:10.26 on the fast track. Ramon Dominguez was aboard for trainer Tony Dutrow.

The 1-5 favorite paid $2.60, $2.10 and $2.10. Touching Beauty rallied from fourth in the five-horse field to get second, returning $2.40 and $2.20. Simply Spiteful faded to third, earning $2.30.

Cuff Me got her first win against open company, having crushed New York-breds by a combined 19 1/2 lengths in her first two races.
