The first game of the 2025 College Football Playoff Semifinals will take place at the Fiesta Bowl in Phoenix, AZ, where the #10 Miami Hurricanes will take on the #6 Ole Miss Rebels. This will be only the fourth time these two schools have played each other, with the last meeting being in 1951. Both are coming off surprising upsets, with Miami defeating Ohio State and Ole Miss getting retribution against Georgia for a loss earlier this season. Miami comes in with one of the most feared defensive units, giving up just 17 combined points through two playoff games while collecting 12 total sacks. Ole Miss believes it has a great counter to the Miami defensive line with quarterback Trinidad Chambliss, who excels at scrambling to buy time and possesses a strong enough arm to hit both quick and deep throws.
