With the loss, the Red Sox clinched their first non-winning season since 1997 (78-84).
Moises Sierra, Colby Rasmus and Omar Vizquel added an RBI apiece for the Blue Jays, who went 2-4 on a six-game homestand.
Morrow gave up four hits while striking out three and walking one. Brandon Lyon (3-0) recorded the final two outs in the seventh to pick up the win.
"I found a rhythm, found a groove and finished up nicely," Morrow said.
Jon Lester (9-12) allowed three runs on four hits over seven innings for the Red Sox, who fell to 66-81 on the season. He struck out seven and walked one.
"I have to keep looking at the positives and keep plugging away," Lester said.
The Blue Jays broke a scoreless game in the seventh. Yan Gomes hit a two-out single to get things started. Pinch-runner Rajai Davis stole second and raced home on Vizquel's single to center. Hechavarria followed with a two-run homer to left.
Boston failed to score after putting men on the corners in the eighth. Dustin Pedroia and Jacoby Ellsbury hit consecutive one-out singles. Cody Ross grounded into a double play to end the threat.
Toronto tacked on two more runs in the home half. Brett Lawrie doubled and scored on Rasmus' single to left. J.P. Arencibia walked and Adam Lind grounded into a fielder's choice to put men on the corners. Sierra followed with an RBI single to make it 5-0.
