Ellis each drove in a run for the Dodgers, who have won three straight games.
Pedro Baez (1-0) earned his first career win after tossing 1 1/3 innings of scoreless relief. Starter Clayton Kershaw allowed five runs on eight hits and four walks over 5 2/3 frames.

Colorado got to Kershaw with five runs in the home half. D.J. LeMahieu walked and Tulowitzki singled to open the frame. Two batters later, Rosario plated LeMahieu with a base hit to left and Nick Hundley followed with an RBI single of his own.
After Drew Stubbs reached on an infield single, Rosario came home on Ynoa's groundout and De La Rosa helped his own cause with a two-run single for a 5-2 lead.
Pederson, Rollins and Kendrick all walked to start the fifth. Gonzalez tied the game with one swing of the bat as his liner down the right-field line was good for a three-run double.
Ynoa hit a one-out single and Michael McKenry and LeMahieu worked walks to end Kershaw's outing and load the bases with two outs in the sixth. Baez got Tulowitzki to strike out on a foul tip to end the frame.
