Biggio, Ensberg homer to power Astros

Mar 7, 2007 - 8:56 PM KISSIMMEE, Florida (Ticker) -- Craig Biggio and Morgan Ensberg homered in the sixth inning to power the Houston Astros to a 5-2 Grapefruit League victory over the Washington Nationals.

Both blasts came off reliever Saul Rivera. Biggio's first spring homer tied the game. Ensberg hit his second spring homer, a three run shot.

The power surge helped overcome a sub-par outing by ace Roy Oswalt, who gave up two runs - one earned - and four hits in three innings, striking out four. Closer Brad Lidge pitched one scoreless frame to get the win.

Nationals starter Shawn Hill allowed one run and three hits in three frames, fanning two.

Lance Berkman was 2-for-2 with a walk, RBI and run for the Astros.

Alex Escobar was a late scratch with tightness in his left quadriceps for the Nationals.
