Langerhans' homer propels Braves past White Sox

Mar 31, 2007 - 8:03 PM ATLANTA (Ticker) -- Ryan Langerhans hit a two-run homer off Javier Vazquez to lead the Atlanta Braves to a 4-2 Grapefruit League victory over the Chicago White Sox at Turner Field.

Jeff Francoeur had two hits and Kelly Johnson also drove in a run for Atlanta, which opens the regular season at Philadelphia on Monday.

The White Sox tied the game, 2-2, on RBI singles by Paul Konerko and Jermaine Dye off Mark Redman in the fourth inning.

Jeff Francoeur singled before Langerhans homered over the right field wall in the bottom of the fourth.

Redman allowed two runs and five hits in four innings.

Vazquez surrendered four runs and eight hits in 6 2/3 innings. He walked two and struck out six.

Dye, Alex Cintron and Brian Anderson each had two hits for Chicago, which opens the regular season at home against Cleveland on Monday.
