White Sox place OF Podsednik on disabled list

Apr 17, 2007 - 8:58 PM CHICAGO (Ticker) -- The Chicago White Sox on Tuesday placed outfielder Scott Podsednik on the 15-day disabled list with a right groin pull.

The move to place Podsednik on the DL is retroactive to Monday.

Podsednik, 31, is hitting .303 (10-for-33) with one homer, two RBI, three stolen bases and six runs scored in 10 games this season.

To take Podsednik's roster spot, the White Sox recalled lefthander Boone Loogan from Class AAA Charlotte of the International League. Logan pitched in 21 games with the White Sox, posting an 8.31 ERA.
