Prado, Braves down Giants

Tim Hudson (3-2) nearly went the distance as he left the game with two outs in the ninth. He allowed two runs on nine hits and no walks while striking out four for Atlanta, which has won the first two games of the set.
"He was throwing a bunch of ground balls and we were able to turn some double plays out of them," said Atlanta manager Fredi Gonzalez. "That's how Tim Hudson pitches most of his games right there."
Tim Lincecum (2-2) lasted 6 1/3 innings, allowing five runs on six hits and a career-high six walks while striking out six as the Giants dropped their third straight game.
"You can't expect good results when you're walking six guys in a game," said Lincecum. "You can't give them that many opportunities and not expect it to come back and haunt you."
Pat Burrell had three hits and crossed the plate twice for both of San Francisco's runs.
Cody Ross singled in the second to score Burrell, who had doubled in the prior at-bat to give the Giants an early lead.
Prado singled in the third to score Nate McLouth after McLouth singled and advanced to second on a Hudson walk to tie the game at one.
Prado's single in the fifth scored McLouth a second time to give Atlanta a 2-1 lead.
The Braves took control of the game in the seventh when Alex Gonzalez led off with a double and was followed by McLouth's walk. The runners moved to second and third on a Hudson bunt.
Prado's fielder's choice to second baseman, Freddy Sanchez scored Gonzalez, who slid home safely when catcher Eli Whiteside failed to make the grab on a low throw by Sanchez. Jason Heyward followed with a walk to load the bases and chase Lincecum from the game. Javier Lopez entered in relief and got Freddie Freeman to pop out before Brian McCann hit a two-run single to make the score 5-1.
The Giants brought home a run in the ninth with a Miguel Tejada sac fly.
Hudson started the inning hoping for his first complete game since June 11, 2010, but he was pulled with two outs and a man on first for Craig Kimbrel, who got pinch-hitter Buster Posey to fly out for his sixth save of the year.
Game Notes
