Young, Ogando lead Rangers over Royals

Alexi Ogando (3-0) earned the win in six-plus innings, allowing one run on five hits and one walk while striking out five.
"Once again, he we out there and kept us in the game," Rangers manager Ron Washington said of Ogando. "He didn't have his best stuff but he was able to make pitches when he had to."
Kyle Davies (1-2) took the loss in six innings after allowing three runs -- two earned -- on four hits and one walk while fanning three.
"It was a tough ball game and we were in it the whole time," Davies said. "We're going to come back tomorrow and we're going to fight."
The Royals have now dropped five of their last seven games, including both games in this series.
Mitch Moreland doubled just over left fielder Alex Gordon's glove to score David Murphy in the second inning. Murphy reached first on an error by Chris Getz and was moved to second on Yorvit Torrealba's groundout to take a one-run lead for Texas.
Texas scored a pair in the third after an Elvis Andrus walk and a Michael Young single put runners on the corners. Adrian Beltre came up next and hit a sac fly to center field that brought Andrus home. Young then stole second and came home on a Nelson Cruz single.
Those would be all of the runs they would need with Ogando on the bump.
Kila Ka`aihue led off the seventh with a home run to put the Royals on the board.
Darren Oliver entered in the ninth and got a 1-2-3 inning for his first save of the season. Texas had placed its closer, Neftali Feliz, on the 15-day disabled list earlier Saturday with right shoulder inflammation.
Feliz's roster replacement, Cody Eppley, pitched two scoreless innings in relief and allowed two hits and struck out a batter.
