O's, Rays play rubber match at the Trop

After losing Friday's opener, Baltimore bounced back with an impressive effort on Saturday, as Brad Bergesen tossed his first career shutout, and Jake Fox hit a two-run homer, helping the Orioles to a 6-0 win.
Bergesen (1-4) limited Tampa to four hits, while fanning five and issuing one walk. It snapped a nine-start winless streak for the 25-year-old, dating back to a September 21 victory at Boston. It also marked his fourth career complete game.
"It feels good just to pitch well. I say it a lot, but wins and losses are something we can't control," Bergesen said. "Our job is to go out there, keep our club in the ballgame and give them a chance to win."
Mark Reynolds also homered, while Vladimir Guerrero and Adam Jones each collected two hits and an RBI for the Orioles, who have won four of their last five. The win was Baltimore's 18th of the season, a mark it didn't reach until June 15 in 2010.
Wade Davis (4-3) was charged for seven hits and four runs over 5 1/3 frames for the Rays, who saw their three-game win streak come to a halt.
The Orioles will give the ball to Jake Arrieta this afternoon, and while his 4.17 ERA is rather modest, his 4-1 record is obviously impressive. Arrieta has permitted 38 hits in 45 1/3 innings while registering 39 strikeouts. He didn't figure in the decision of Tuesday's game against Seattle after permitting two earned runs in six innings.
In his career against Tampa, Arrieta is 0-1 with a 6.35 ERA in two appearances.
Slated to counter Arrieta will be Andy Sonnanstine, who went just 3 1/3 innings against Cleveland on Tuesday in his first start of the season. He has thrown a total of 15 2/3 innings this season and has yielded five earned runs on 13 hits.
Sonnanstine is 3-4 lifetime against Baltimore with a 6.62 ERA.
These teams have split eight matchups thus far this season.
