Yanks pound Tribe; Jeter four hits from 3,000

In his second game back from the disabled list, Jeter went 2-for-6 with two RBI and a run scored. The Yankees shortstop is now four hits shy of becoming the first player in franchise history to reach 3,000 hits with the team.
Granderson knocked in three runs and scored three times for the Yankees, who bounced back from a 6-3 loss in the opener of this three-game series on Monday.
Sabathia (12-4) gave up five hits, struck out 11 and walked two in his fifth straight victory. The left-hander spent the first seven-plus seasons of his career with the Indians, who made him a first-round pick in 1998. After he won an American League Cy Young Award for them in 2007, the Indians dealt him to Milwaukee near the 2008 trade deadline, then he signed a monster free agent deal with the Yankees that offseason.
Carlos Carrasco (8-5) allowed six runs on 10 hits over four innings for Cleveland, which has dropped two of three. He walked three and struck out three.
