Reds, Rockies resume set at Coors Field

The Key West, Fla. native won 10, 14 and 14 games from 2004-06, then ended the streak with nine victories in 2007.
He resumed with 15 wins in 2008 and again in 2009, then got a career-high 17 victories in 33 starts for the Reds last season.
Arroyo is just 1-4 in his last 10 starts this year, however, getting to eight victories with a 3-2 defeat of the Florida Marlins in Miami on Aug. 24, when he tossed eight scoreless innings while allowing six hits and walking none.
He dropped a 9-0 decision to Philadelphia six days later, then got a no- decision at St. Louis in his last start on Sept. 4, a 3-2 win for the Reds.
The 34-year-old is 2-3 against the Rockies in 10 career meetings.
In Friday's series opener, Ryan Hanigan hit a two-run single during a four-run sixth inning, as the Reds took down the Rockies, 4-1.
Paul Janish drove in a run for the Reds, who got 7 2/3 solid innings from starter Homer Bailey. Bailey (8-7) gave up one run on six hits to go along with six strikeouts.
The Reds had lost 10 in a row in the Rocky Mountains. Friday's win was Cincinnati's first at Coors Field since August 22, 2008.
Chris Nelson hit a homer for the Rockies, who have lost two in a row and four of five overall.
Jhoulys Chacin (11-11) allowed three runs on four hits over 5 1/3 frames to take the loss. He struck out three and walked two.
For Colorado, youngster Alex White makes his seventh start of the season and fourth with the Rockies.
The 15th overall pick in the 2009 draft, White reached the majors earlier this season with the Cleveland Indians and won his only decision across three starts with a 3.60 earned run average in 15 innings.
He came to Colorado as part of the Ubaldo Jimenez trade with Cleveland and is 1-1 in three starts with the Rockies, including a 5-4 defeat of San Diego in his most recent appearance on Sept. 3.
In 32 overall innings, White has given up 33 hits and 21 runs, with 19 walks and 26 strikeouts.
He tossed three innings against the Reds in his final appearance with the Indians on May 20 and allowed an earned run and a hit in three innings.
