Red Sox send RHP Donnelly to rehab assignment

Jul 13, 2007 - 11:12 PM BOSTON (Ticker) -- The Boston Red Sox on Friday sent righthander Brendan Donnelly to Class A Lowell of the New York-Penn League for a rehab assignment.

Donnelly was placed on the 15-day disabled list on June 17 with a strained right forearm. The move was retroactive to June 11.

The 36-year-old, who was acquired by Boston on December 15, 2006 in a trade with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, is 2-1 with a 3.05 ERA in 27 relief appearances this season.
