Tigers activate OF Thames from 15-day disabled list

Aug 10, 2007 - 5:28 AM DETROIT (Ticker) -- The Detroit Tigers activated outfielder Marcus Thames from the 15-day disabled list on Thursday.

Thames, who has been sidelined since July 19 with a pulled left hamstring, is hitting .252 with 11 home runs and 32 RBI in 54 games with Detroit this season.

In a corresponding move, the Tigers optioned infielder Mike Hessman to Toledo.

Hessman had a home run and six RBI in nine games since joining the Tigers on July 23.
