Hunter's two-out RBI double in the third put Detroit on the board, but the Astros got the run back in the home half following back-to-back one-out doubles by Dominguez and Hoes to make it 4-1 in favor of Houston.

Avila's leadoff shot into the seats to right in the fifth cut the deficit to one, but Houston regained its three-run cushion in the sixth.
