Braves RHP Carlyle leaves with injury

Sep 16, 2007 - 1:19 AM WASHINGTON (Ticker) -- Atlanta Braves pitcher Buddy Carlyle left Saturday's game with the Washington Nationals with a hyperextended right elbow in the fifth inning.

Carlyle, who replaced starting pitcher Lance Cormier in the third, hurt his elbow in a fourth-inning at-bat. The 29-year-old righthander tried to warm up for the fifth, but felt pain and was replaced by reliever Peter Moylan.
